Umrah Trip
Taking learning into the real world
At EPIC College, we strive to offer boys the chance to apply their learning in real-world environments, exploring their academic and personal skills in new contexts. Our Trips and Tours Program is an essential and exciting part of these experiences, giving students the chance to enrich or discover new passions in ways not afforded within a classroom context.
Travelling intrastate, nationally and internationally, boys see that education is a universal process that occurs in a myriad of ways. Exposed to new environments, people and experiences, they further develop their independence, collaborative abilities, compassion and understanding.
The majority of these opportunities are presented to students in the Senior School, particularly those students in Years 9-12, as boys at this age are at a crucial stage of self development. Any program offered by the school, whether it be sporting, cultural or academic, enriches not only the attending students and staff, but the EPIC Family and wider community as a whole. Boys share their talents with others, learn about responsible citizenship and public conduct, and share their new understanding of the world with their peers and families.
Trips
The EPIC Trip program is delivered year-round through the academic, sport and co-curricular departments. Our trips are either local or interstate, and are designed to be financially accessible to the majority of students. They broaden the sporting, cultural and academic understanding and performance of our students, offering students the chance to extend themselves in their areas of passion.

Tours
From 2028, an additional fee for Year 9 students will be charged to cover the costs associated with the compulsory Fairhaven Outdoor Education program.
Our Tours Program fosters a global mindset and gives students the opportunity to travel interstate or overseas for extended periods to experience different sporting, cultural, performance or academic pursuits in inspiring new environments. Regular tours include:
- Scotland Heritage and Golf Tour; where boys learn more about the Scottish heritage of EPIC College and play at St Andrews, the spiritual home of golf.

Safety and Risk Management
During all trips and tours, students are supervised at all times by EPIC College staff. In the case of exchanges, host families are vetted through the collaborative efforts of EPIC College and our partner schools. In the event that a student undertakes an independent study/exchange, vetting is completed through the partner organisation. Comprehensive risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies are implemented prior to any trip, tour or exchange being approved and departing.
